Nathan's Mermaid Post

I'm glad Chris took a picture of him in this position because I want to remember this cute post. Since he still hasn't learned how to sit back from a crawling position, he loves to lay on his left side and turn around to look.

Say Cheers

Both Nathan's hair as well as his personality are getting wild these days. He loves to play more than ever. I used to think those days when he was an infant cuddling in my arms were the best moments. Well, I think I may be wrong. Although I still miss those days, I definitely fell in love with this wild and fun loving "Big Boy" now. Since his two BIG front teeth came out, everyone told me he looks so different, they said he looks like a big boy and not a baby anymore :-) How did that happen? I thought I was just in the hospital not too long ago!

9 Months Already

Nathan had his 9 month check up yesterday. His stats were:
Weight: 18 lb. 6 oz. (25%)
Length: 29.5 in. (75%)
Head: 46.25 cm (75%)

Nathan hasn't been eating much, I am not surprised that he has not gained much weight for the last 3 weeks. He finally dropped from 50th percentile to 25th percentile since his 6 month check up. Our doctor told me to feed him more because he is very active and really needs the extra calorie. She has no idea that my little one is such a picky eater :-)

Let's Escape

Mama, let us go outside and play!!

Wednesday, June 13, 2007

I'm all over the place

Hmmm, how do I get out of here?

I can play fetch with CoCo
Since Nathan started crawling, he has no interest in playing his own toys. He loves exploring and playing with CoCo. He moves so fast that even CoCo stays away from him sometimes :-). Can't imagine when he starts walking.

Let Me Do It

Since I don't have much patience, so I haven't given Nathan the opportunity to feed himself yet. However, today he just crabbed the spoon from me and fed himself.

He is very proud of what he did!

I like It Rough

Come on, tickle me with your beard!

Showing Mama Affection

Nathan gives great hugs!
Giving Mama LOVE
Is that a kiss or a BITE?
I want to remember that today was the last day I nursed Nathan. Due to my joint problems, I have to start taking medications soon, so I started weaning him a week ago. I think both of us really miss our "special time" together. It was very hard for me emotionally because I really enjoyed the closeness and special bonding we had. I will always remember how special and incredible that feeling was...

Let's Play Ball

Nathan loves playing with all kinds of balls (big or small). This beach ball is his first one and is definitely one of his favorites. He can now move from a crawling position to a sitting position and is enjoying his new acquired skill.

Happy Birthday to Mama

Chris took Nathan and I to a restaurant in a French hotel in Redwood Shores. It was great atmosphere. We were a little worry that Nathan may scream in the middle of our dinner (he has been babbling a lot and he is very loud). To our surprise he behaved very well. He even flirted with the waiter and the other customers there. I told Daddy that we just have to go out more (especially to fancy places :-))

Mama's Pre-Birthday Celebration

Aunt Annie and Uncle Kevin took us out for a Sunday Brunch to celebrate my birthday. Nathan was very patient and let us ate and chatted for 2 hours. We had a great time!

A Beautiful Day in Redwood Shores

Nathan is so happy to be out for a walk with Mama, Papa and CoCo. Since my joint pain started a few weeks ago, I haven't been able to take Nathan and CoCo out much. It's definitely nice to catch some fresh air!Believe it or not, he actually enjoys it when we bite him :-) (gently) The bad thing is when he gets us back, he bites us hard! Don't think that's a good idea to play that game anymore.

CoCo didn't want to join us for a picture.

Nathan is full of expressions these days!

Happy Memorial Day

This is one of my favorite pictures of Nathan and me. Thanks Uncle Brian
Check out my cute sock, it's match my shirt!
The two cousins love hanging out together. Can you see Nathan's 2 upper teeth? They are HUGE! They both cut through a week ago (5/18 & 5/21).

Yeah, I can crawl

Nathan surprised me and started crawling today despite of his cold (2nd one). I was expecting to see the "rock" movement first before crawling. I guess he was just anxious to move around.
He is definitely proud of his accomplishment!

My 2 upper teeth are about to erupt

My hives are gone

Thank God his hives finally got all cleared up. I was really worry for a few days. Fortunately, Nathan was in very good spirit the whole time and didn't fuss much. Glad that it was all over.

My 8-Month Birthday

Nathan turned 8 months today. I didn't take a picture today because he broke out in hives, very serious hives...all over his body. We suspect it was food allergy, but we were not 100% sure since it started a day after I introduced him the new food (broccoli). It was so bad that it took 4 days to calm down even with medication. The doctor said that it could be a virus or a combination of things. His face was so swollen on the 3rd day that I wanted to cry when I picked him up from his crib in the morning. It was definitely a scary experience for us.
Now, I am very paranoid when introducing new food to him. I hope this was just an isolated incident.

Happy 1st Mother's Day

It was a very special day today. Besides celebrating my 1st Mother's Day, I took Nathan to Church with me (just the two of us). He was such a good boy during the entire mass. He didn't sleep or fuss. He actually wanted me to turn his stroller facing the altar, like he knew what the priest was saying. He also enjoyed the choir very much. I was amazed that he was so patient for one full hour. We went for a walk after Church.

Get Me Out!

Nathan has been trying to get out of his crib these days. He figured out how to pull down the bumper and look for me when he wakes up. He still cannot pull himself up yet, but I think the day may come soon. We probably have to lower his crib in the next few weeks.

Nice Warm Day in Crystal Spring

It was a goreous day in the Bay Area. We took Nathan for a walk in Crystal Spring.

Bad Hair Day

Nathan's hair is getting long and growing up :-) It looks pretty funky, but I love it. This picture also captures his really cute smile. It's one of my recent favorites.

Trip to San Francisco Zoo

We joined Uncle Brian, Aunt Linda and Jonathan for a trip to the SF Zoo. I think Nathan is still a little too young to enjoy all the animals, but the giraffes, zebras and flamingos did get his attention.
